Jeanine Mason
Jeanine Mason (born January 14, 1991) is an 18-year-old contemporary dancer from Miami, Florida and a recent graduate of the Ransom Everglades School, attending UCLA in fall 2009. Dance is an entity of her family as her mother wanted to be a dancer and her younger sister is well on her way to following in her own footsteps. Jeanine began her dance training in Ballet and Lyrical and then went on to study Jazz, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Modern, and Contemporary first at Dance Unlimited and later at Focal Point Dance Studios.
In 2009, she was a Top 20 finalist on the Fox show "So You Think You Can Dance." For the first five weeks of the competition (Top 20 to Top 12), she was partnered with Phillip. For the sixth week (Top 10), Jeanine danced a contemporary number by Travis Wall with Jason. She made it as a Top 4 Finalist and was named champion of season 5.
Jeanine said on the finale show that when she was young, she wasn't very interested in dance. She thanked her mother for pushing her to dance.
